The 2020 show, held on Feb. 18 at the O2 Arena, was among the last major award shows before everything shut down in mid-March.
The next edition of the BRIT Awards, which have been held in February every year but one since 1982, has been pushed back to May 11, 2021.
The BRITS are the latest in a long line of award shows to be delayed because of COVID-19. In a statement, Geoff Taylor, chief executive, BPI & BRIT Awards Ltd., said: “We want to make sure that The BRITs delivers the outstanding production levels, superstar performances and live excitement that make it the biggest night in music.
We believe that the best way to achieve this in 2021 is to move the show back a few months to May...” Organizers made the decision to move the date
