A terminally ill bride has married her long-term partner after the community got together to organise a wedding in 48 hours.

56-year-old Ann Ruddock as diagnosed with brain and lung cancer last month and told that she had between four and six months to live.

Stoke-on-Trent Live reports that Ann and her fiance Keith Pearce, who have been engaged for 10 years, decided to finally tie the knot and began to discuss the idea with the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

However last week, Ann was told that her prognosis had changed and she had just one to two weeks left to live.Staff at Douglas Macmillan, together with Emma Wisely at Leek Weddings - which helps terminally unwell people get married - pulled out all the stops to ensure Ann and Keith got
