Livingston have appointed Alloa Athletic boss Brian Rice as their new assistant manager. David Martindale has made his move to land the experienced coach.
A deal has been agreed between Livi and the Wasps that will see Rice move to the Tony Macaroni Stadium. The former Hamilton boss will now join Martindale’s backroom team, alongside first-team coach Neil Hastings and goalkeeping coach Gary Maley.
Rice has a wealth of experience from his time as No. 2 to John Hughes at Falkirk, Hibs and Inverness. Scottish League One side Alloa will now begin the search for their new manager.
Rice had been in position since February last year but is now expected to be in the Livi technical area for the weekend clash with Rangers.David Martindale said: “I’m delighted that Brian Rice has agreed to come on board as a first-team coach.
