Brent Carver, a Tony Award-winning actor best known for his work on Broadway, has passed away at the age of 68.
The actor’s family says that he died earlier this week in his hometown in Canada. “Our family is sharing news of Brent Carver’s passing at home in Cranbrook, B.C., his birthplace and favourite place on Earth,” the family said in a statement. Brent won a Tony Award in 1993 for his Broadway debut in the musical Kiss of the Spider Woman.
He later appeared in such Broadway shows as Parade, King Lear, and most recently, Romeo and Juliet opposite Orlando Bloom. “Brent, in his humble fashion, will be remembered as the kind, gentle and gifted man he was, with the deepest love as a true friend and family member.
