The former Parkhead boss has endured a desperately slow transfer window so far. Leicester have signed just one player since the window opened, adding third choice goalkeeper Alex Smithies on a free transfer from Cardiff.
Chelsea are chasing centre back Wesley Fofana, and his £80million transfer fee could allow Rodgers to splash the cash in reinforcements.The Northern Irishman is keen to add ‘five or six players’ to his pool but has yet to make any noteworthy additions.
They are badly needed as well, with the Foxes still seeking their first win of the season after drawing with Brentford and losing to Arsenal and Southampton respectively so far.
