Leicester City midfielder James Maddison reaggravated an ongoing knee issue during the 3-0 defeat against Manchester United and need to assess the player's fitness ahead of the weekend's match against Arsenal.
Maddison, 26, played the full 90 minutes at Old Trafford as goals from fellow England internationals Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho ended Leicester's four-match unbeaten run across all competitions.
It was just before representing the Three Lions at the World Cup that this injury first came to light after being substituted off early in the final Premier League match before the tournament began.
The attacking midfielder subsequently failed to feature in any of England's matches during their run to the quarter-finals and was sidelined for a further seven domestic matches after the resumption of top-flight football.
