Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Variety exclusively reported in July based on sources that Gleeson would be a part of the show, but his role has now been fully confirmed.
Exact details for Gleeson’s character are being kept under wraps, but he is believed to be playing the main villain. Gleeson will star alongside series lead Nicolas Cage in the show, which is currently titled “Spider-Noir.” Additional cast members include Lamorne Morris, Abraham Popoola, and Li Jun Li.
As previously reported, the show will debut domestically on MGM+’s linear channel and then globally on Amazon Prime Video. Per the official logline, the show “tells the story of an aging and down on his luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.” This marks one of Gleeson’s first announced project since his Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated turn in “The Banshees of Inisherin.” In addition to his numerous critically-acclaimed film roles, Gleeson has been a part of several successful TV shows in the past few years.
