Thania Garcia Brenda Lee’s iconic “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” has hit No. 1 for the first time in its 65-year history.
The single, which annually returns to the Hot 100’s top 10, is Lee’s third No. 1 — and her first since 1960 (behind “I’m Sorry” and “I Want to Be Wanted”).
The song collected nearly 35 million streams and 21 million radio impressions, according to data provided by Luminate. It previously spent nine weeks at No.
2 between December 2019 and 2022 and is only the third seasonal song to peak at No. 1, joining Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and “The Chipmunk Song” by the Chipmunks with David Seville.
