A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a woman in Bolton town centre. Police were called to the back of the Newspaper building on Bradshawgate at around 2.20am today (April 20) following reports of a sexual assault of a woman in her 30s.
A cordon is currently in place in the area while investigations continue. Police say the victim has been left 'distressed' and is receiving care.
The man remains in custody.
