A man has been left with 'life-changing' injuries after a hit-and-run in Blackley. The 51-year-old man was walking on Rochdale Road when he was struck by a vehicle at around 9.25pm last night (Tuesday, October 24).
He was rushed to hospital from the scene. The driver initially failed to stop, police said. The vehicle was later found parked nearby and the driver - a 34-year-old man - was arrested. Serious Collision Investigation Unit officers, who taped off a stretch of the road after the incident, are now urging any witnesses of the crash to come forward.
