dailyrecord.co.ukT2 Trainspotting star Bradley Welsh urged his friend to take “chip” out of his mobile phone in the wake of a brutal machete attack on him, a murder trial heard.David McMillan, 25, told how three masked men burst into his Edinburgh home and one began “hacking” at his father, also David McMillan, 50, with the blade.His dad, a long-time pal of Welsh, spent five days in hospital after being assaulted and his son had possession of his phone.On the night of the incident, Welsh texted him: “Turn it off...take out the chip pal.”The former boxing champion said there was large police presence around the McMillan home, adding his car had been “turned over” and “searched”.Sean Orman, 30, denies blasting Welsh with a shotgun on the doorstep of his home.
