Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's daughter Shiloh is said to be moving ahead with her petition to legally change her name, and drop the surname of her father.Taking an ad out in The LA Times, Shiloh, has announced she'd filed a petition to drop Pitt from her surname, which is a legality before a court can approve the change, reports TMZ.

Shiloh, who recently turned 18, reportedly hired and paid for her own lawyer to help her officially change her name to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie.TMZ said the newspaper notice also states that anyone who has objections to the petition should show up in court to object it.

It's reported that Brad and Angelina's other children also do not want to use Pitt - with Shiloh's younger sister Vivienne dropping it from her last name in the Playbill for The Outsiders.

According to the Daily Mail, a source told them said: "Shiloh hired her own lawyer and paid for it herself, so Angie doesn’t know and can’t speak for it. "But, if you’re asking if this is connected to the abuse history or the violation of Shiloh’s victims rights, yes, that’s part of it." Brad, 60, and Angelina, 48, previously had a custody battle over their six children, Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh 18, and Knox and Vivienne, 16.
