B&Q has said that after a successful trial run, it will be reopening 61 stores from today, Wednesday April 22. Over the weekend, the DIY favourite revealed it was planning on reopening 14 of its stores.
Two branches reopened on Saturday morning - at Paisley and West Thurrock - with a dozen more to follow. That list has now been massively expanded, with a B&Q spokesperson telling ExaminerLive that "strict social distancing measures" would be in place in all stores.
The DIY chain has been closed since the end of March after the UK was put into lockdown, although customers have been able to use click and collect services to purchase goods.
