An 11-year-old boy is trapped in France after going to spend Christmas with his dad due to confusion over Covid rules. Dean Lemire left his home in Telford, Shropshire, to spend the festive holidays with his father Eric in Arras.

His mother Clair Chetwood said despite paying around £750 for the required Covid travel tests and replacement Shuttle tickets, the pair were refused amid confusion over the quarantine requirements.
