Boy fighting for life after plunging 20 feet from roof while playing with friends

A teenage boy is in a critical condition in hospital after plunging 20 feet from a roof. Jack Osborne, 14, has had to have part of the front of his skull removed after the fall on Tuesday.

The boy was playing with friends at a derelict building in Bourne, Lincolnshire, when the accident happened. Lincolnshire Echo says Jack was rushed by air ambulance to hospital, where he remains in a coma with a broken collarbone, several broken ribs and a bruised lung.

Step-dad Shaun Shield, of Bourne, said: "He is having an MRI scan very soon to find out the extent of the injuries, and how likely a recovery is if at all, as sad as that is to admit." In an emotional Facebook post, he added: "Can everyone please pray for Jack Osborne. "He’s the little boy
