Boy, 14, charged with murdering restaurant owner after robbery

A 14-year-old has been charged with killing a restaurant owner who was hit with his own car following a robbery in Stockport.

Mohammed Islam, 53, was rushed to hospital but sadly died from his injuries after he was struck by his own car shortly after he was robbed on January 8.

His heartbroken family said they were left "devastated beyond belief" after the "horrific" crash. Greater Manchester Police said Mr Islam was struck by his own car following a robbery.

He was taken to hospital where he sadly died on Sunday. The silver Mercedes stolen in the robbery was found abandoned at 8pm the following day on Watson Street in Denton, Tameside.
