An 11-year-old boy has lost both his legs after he was “pressured” by older peers to ‘train surf’ for a daredevil YouTube video.

Arkady Aksenov was riding on moving cargo carriages in Russia when he fell onto the track and his limbs were sliced off by the wheels.

The boys he was with - aged 14 and 12 - ran away and “left him for dead”, but he miraculously survived. Arkady's left leg was torn off completely, up to his buttock and he also lost his right leg but the cut was lower.

The youngster was saved by passing train driver Bulat Zhakeev, who disobeyed rules to stop his engine, give first aid by preventing more blood loss, and summon emergency services.
