Boy, 10, goes missing on way to school wearing uniform sparking major police search

A 10-year-old boy has gone missing on his way to school in north London while in his uniform sparking a major police search.

Demetrace Nyakana was last seen at 8.20am today on the Lytchett Estate, Enfield, wearing a Carterhatch Junior School uniform, according to a Met Police spokesperson.

He never arrived at the school on Carterhatch Lane, which is just under a mile from the estate. Enfield Police tweeted an appeal for help in finding the schoolboy at lunchtime.

Officers have shared two photographs of Demetrace as part of the appeal to find him. In one of the images, seen in the police tweet, he is wearing a school uniform.
