Christmas is a time when our favourite stores adjust their opening hours and days. However, some will be keen to take advantage of post-Christmas sale prices as soon as midnight on December 26.However, not all shops will be in a hurry to open their doors.

Several big brands will allow their staff to take a well-deserved break after every December shopping frenzy as people gear up for the festive season.Here, we've compiled information on some of the more popular shops Brits love to frequent.

Some will have their doors locked today whilst others are very much open for business, reports the Mirror.All Home Bargains stores in the UK will be closed on Boxing Day.

The discount store announced earlier this year that there would be a three-day closure over the festive period - including Christmas Day and New Year's Day.Bosses made the decision to close shops across the country "so that employees can spend the festive season with their loved ones." Many fans of the shop understood and even applauded the generous move.A spokesperson for Home Bargains commented: "We know how hard all our colleagues have worked throughout the year.
