Bowen Yang‘s commitment to the bit once again proved fruitful — not only bringing a delightful laugh to Oscars audiences but perhaps tipping the wand in the favor of Wicked‘s Best Costume Design win for Paul Tazewell.

Reupping the “Fab Five” format for the Costume Design presentation, Lily-Rose Depp, Elle Fanning, John Lithgow, Connie Nielsen and Bowen Yang appeared onstage to shoutout their respective costume designers for the films Nosferatu, A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Gladiator II and Wicked.
