Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

Borna Barisic suffers Rangers injury blow as defender limps off in Europa League crunch match

Borna Barisic after he limped off with an apparent thigh problem in their Europa League opener. The Ibrox club faced Belgian side Standard Liege on Thursday night and took an early lead through a James Tavernier penalty.

There was concern for manager Steven Gerrard before the break though as Barisic went down with an injury. The Croatian international sank to the turf holding his thigh and immediately indicated that he wouldn't be able to continue.Barisic had to be replaced by Calvin Bassey and while he was able to walk to the sideline he appeared to be in some discomfort.
