Boris Johnson has refused to rule out further coronavirus restrictions being introduced ahead of Christmas as the Omicron variant spreads.
The Prime Minister was asked three times in an interview to clarify but refused to answer. He said the goal is to 'offer a booster' to every adult by the end of the year in a bid to curb the spike in Omicron cases.
Speaking to broadcasters during a visit to to a vaccination clinic near Paddington, west London, Mr Johnson said: “Throughout the pandemic I’ve been at great pains to stress to the public that we have to watch where the pandemic is going and we take whatever steps are necessary to protect public health.
