Oddjob’s deadly bowler hat in the 007 film Goldfinger has made a surprise appearance on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow. The battered steel-rimmed hat was one of those thrown by actor and Olympic weightlifter Harold Sakata in the 1964 film, and valued at up to £30,000.
It was part of a collection of James Bond memorabilia brought to the show when it filmed at the National Botanic Garden of Wales last summer.
The hat, together with a 007 number plate, left Roadshow expert Marc Allum amazed.
