Four ex-Bolton Wanderers players have hailed the job Sam Allardyce carried out at the club during his time as manager. The former boss returned to the club recently for a legends game, after which he discussed Wanderers' progress under Ian Evatt and the financial challenge Bolton face.
Allardyce made just shy of 250 appearances in a Wanderers shirt and celebrated a second division title in 1978. He then moved into the dugout for eight years, taking Bolton up to the top flight and into Europe in 2005/06.
