The 25-year-old was poised to be out of contract at the Liberty Stadium this summer. And the Championship club has now confirmed that John will depart when his deal expires and has not been offered a new deal, which will be a boost to Bolton Wanderers.
John spent the second half of the season which has recently concluded on loan at the University of Bolton Stadium. He cemented his place as the club's first choice left-back after arriving on loan in the January transfer window.
