Bolton Wanderers confirm Declan John permanent return after Swansea City release

For all the latest news from in and around Bolton, sign up for the free MyBolton newsletter Declan John's return to Bolton Wanderers has been confirmed with the left back signing a three-year deal with the club.

The 25 year-old defender initially joined Wanderers on loan from Swansea City in January and went on to play a starring role for the club as they returned to League One at the first attempt.

During an impressive spell for Wanderers, he made 21 appearances and scored two goals last term, cementing his place at left-back in the second half of the campaign.

John was out of contract at the Liberty Stadium this summer and Wanderers Ian Evatt was keen to bring John back to the University of Bolton Stadium, if a deal could be done.
