Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt says he has 'no idea' where transfer speculation concerning Declan John and Wrexham has emerged from as he rubbished the rumour.

Last weekend, rumours emerged online linking National League side Wrexham with transfer interest in John this summer and suggested a bid of £500,000 was being lodged.

However, Wanderers have not received a bid for the defender, who has two years left to run on his contract at the club. The 27-year-old joined Wanderers initially on loan in January 2021 from Swansea City on loan.

He impressed during that spell and helped the Whites win automatic promotion to League One. READ MORE: 'Caused carnage' - Dapo Afolayan position decision ahead of new Bolton Wanderers season He signed a three-year contract with Wanderers after leaving the Liberty Stadium.
