Bolton's daily Covid rate FALLS for first time since spike - so is the town past its peak?

The transmission rate in the town remains the highest in the country at 433 positive tests per 100,000 people but figures are showing signs of beginning to trend downwards.

Data for the number of cases of coronavirus in Bolton over the last few weeks shows a peak in infections on May 18, when 284 people tested positive in one day.

And, Health Secretary Matt Hancock has said there are signs infection rates in the town 'may be starting to cap out'. The M.E.N.
