Peter Jones, 68, was the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee which crashed on the A590 at Newby Bridge on Saturday afternoon (June 12).
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the single vehicle collision at 3.11pm. Despite medical intervention, officers say Mr Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.
