A man’s body has been discovered in a wooded area in north Manchester. Police were called to Victoria Avenue East, in Blackley, at around 11.05am on Monday morning (October 25) following a report of the discovery of a man’s remains.
Officers sealed off the area while investigations were carried out. The deceased man has not yet been identified, Greater Manchester Police said.
Specialist officers were seen working in the area - close to the busy main road - throughout the afternoon. A Tactical Aid Unit and a police van were parked on the road, close to the police cordon.
