Officers investigating the alleged murder of former Scots teacher Peter Coshan, 75, have recovered a body in Northumberland.
A man's remains were found on land close to the A696, near the village of Kirkwhelpington, on Sunday, September 4. The man is yet to be identified, but Mr Coshan's family have been informed.
A probe was launched following the disappearance of the retired Fettes College teacher in the Seafield Road area of Edinburgh.
The former biology teacher, who taught at the school in the city until 2005, was last seen at about 11.50pm on Thursday, August 11.
