EastEnders icon Bobby Brazier has broken his silence regarding an unfortunate gaffe on Wednesday’s episode of The One Show, when host Alex Jones mistakenly referred to his character as Freddie Mitchell during an on-air introduction.

During the episode, actor Bobby, 20, was invited to discuss his return to Albert Square as Freddie Slater, alongside Big Mo.

The characters' comeback has been confirmed for the upcoming weeks, following Freddie's departure months ago and over a year since Big Mo's last appearance in Walford.

As she introduced Bobby, host Alex, 47, said: "In a moment, we'll be joined by Bobby Brazier as his character, Freddie Mitchell, gets ready to return to Albert Square.
