There’s a new number one at the box office! Universal’s action flick Nobody, led by Bob Odenkirk, took the top spot over the weekend at the box office in North America, Deadline reported Sunday (March 28).
The movie brought in $6.7 million in its first weekend, amid theater reopenings as the industry continues to evolve with the pandemic.
The movie also follows a trend of action movie success in the pandemic. “These guy-action pics like Unhinged and Liam Neeson’s The Marksman have been doing a 5x multiple off their opening during the pandemic; and Nobody is poised to do much more with its A- CinemaScore and Rotten Tomatoes of 79% certified fresh.
