Simon Webbe has become the latest member of Blue to be hit with financial difficulties. Back in 2017 Simon's bandmate Duncan James filed for bankruptcy after the group's company Blueworld went into administration, and then in 2021 Lee Ryan claimed he was left with "no money" during the pandemic after he was fined by a magistrates' court.
And now it seems the bad luck has now hit Simon, 44, whose company Webbe Industries LTD is reportedly facing over £170k in debts, two years after it was placed in liquidation.
Filings with Companies House show that the business owes £121,259 to HMRC, £1,348 in VAT, and £50,000 to Metro Bank Plc. Alongside Webbe Industries LTD, Companies House shows that Simon is also the company director of Webbe Industries Management, Simon Says Events, Fly On the Wall Productions, Gravity Music Publishing, Bluesky Realty Investments, and 3 Phase Creative.
He is also registered as a Designated Member of Blue Blood Music Group. The Sun reports that liquidators Quantuma Advisory Ltd are investigating Webbe Industries regarding "transactions through the company’s bank account." A report, seen by the outlet, reads: "This assessment revealed matters that the Joint Liquidators considered merited further investigation, which related to transactions through the Company's bank account. "This matter is currently ongoing, with further enquiries being made with the director of the Company and the Company’s former accountant.
