Bloated woman who 'looked six months pregnant' had incurable cancer

A woman who spent years with painful bloating that made her look 'six months pregnant' has been given a heartbreaking diagnosis by medics.

Ruth Betteridge, 34, felt sick and constantly bloated, with a tight, sore stomach and a numbness in her leg from the ovarian cyst pushing against her nerve.

But, thinking bloating was normal, the then-29-year-old thought she 'might just have to live with it'. Doctors later told her it was in fact an incurable form of cancer.
