Blink-182 announce Hollywood Palladium show to benefit LA Fire Relief Efforts

Blink-182 have announced a special gig at the Hollywood Palladium show to benefit the LA Fire Relief Efforts.The one-night-only gig will take place at the famous Los Angeles concert hall on Thursday (February 13).

100 per cent of the ticket proceeds from the event – which is produced by Live Nation who previously pledged $1million (£813,355) to help the music community affected by the LA wildfires – will be donated to the Pasadena Humane Society, California Fire Department, LAFD Foundation, and ARC Firefighter Fund.Punk band Alkaline Trio will serve as opening support for the show.

Tickets for the one-off event are set to go on general sale today (January 27) at 3pm PT (6pm EST, 11pm GMT). Visit here to purchase tickets.The fires broke out on January 7 and have taken at least 27 lives.

Over 200,000 people have fled their homes while more than 12,000 structures have been damaged or destroyed.Recently, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker paid tribute to the incarcerated firefighters who are helping with the Los Angeles wildfires, hailing them as “heroes”.Barker went on to meet a group of individuals who have been working to help extinguish the devastating fires in the city and posted a personal message to them on his Instagram Story afterwards.“These guys are heroes,” he wrote. “They are risking their lives to serve people.
