A blind Scot's three-week trip to a Spanish holiday island will become a three month ordeal after all all flights home were cancelled.
We reported how Dundee man Willie Tanner is trapped in Lanzarote due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The 62-year-old flew out for a three-week holiday on March 3 and there were fears that his vital medication would run out.
But now, although Willie has had his health issue sorted he has been told the soonest he will be able to fly home is June 17.He told the Record: "(I'm here) untill flights come and go again from Lanzarote."I've got my vital meds through the Spanish Embassy, but now need home, as I’m registered blind."I’m picking them up at a chemist not far from where I’m staying- I just love a challenge!"I
