Manori Ravindran International Editor BFI festivals director Tricia Tuttle is stepping down from the role after 10 years. This month’s edition of the London Film Festival will be her last in the post. Tuttle has, for the last five years, led as director the BFI London Film Festival as well as BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival. She was previously deputy head of festivals from 2013 to 2017. She will remain in the role through to early 2023, while the BFI recruits for a new festivals leader. Tuttle leaves the festival during what’s shaping up to be one of its strongest editions yet: the festival has more world premieres than ever this year, with headline films including Matthew Warchus’ “Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical,” Guillermo del Toro’s “Pinocchio” and Asif Kapadia’s “Creature.”

Todd Spangler NY Digital Editor Disney’s 20 cable and broadcast TV networks were restored Sunday night to the lineups of Dish Network’s services following a nearly 48-hour blackout, after the parties reached a “handshake agreement” on a new distribution deal. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution said the pact covering Dish TV and Sling TV “properly reflects fair market value” for the programming suite, which includes ESPN, Disney Channel, FX, Freeform and ABC owned-and-operated stations. According to Dish, Disney had asked for a $1 billion increase in fees as part of renewing the deal, which had expired Sept. 30. Dish also claimed that Disney was demanding that ESPN and ESPN2 be included in Dish TV packages that currently exclude sports channels, and to require ABC local channels to be carried for all subscribers in eight markets.

Tricia Tuttle will step down as BFI Festivals Director following this year’s London Film Festival, the BFI announced today. She will remain in post through to early 2023 while the BFI recruits a replacement. 

EAGLE-EYED fans of the The Masked Dancer are CONVINCED they have worked out who Scissors is and it is a huge HOLLYWOOD star.  During the latest round of the bonkers guessing game, Scissors performed a routine to Christina Aguliera’s hit The Voice Within and has left fans sure of their identity.  Viewers of the ITV game show are convinced that it is Glee legend Heather Morris, who played Brittany Pierce,  who has been wowing audiences from behind the mask.  Fans have picked out a series of obscure clues including the mammoth spotted on stage which is said to be a nod to Heather’s role in hit animated movie series Ice Age.  Scissors also claimed to have had more chart hits than music legend Elvis Presley to which fans pointed out the Glee cast secured a greater number of chart entries proving further evidence Heather is behind the mask.
