Gwen Stefani might need to release a new version of her comeback single because husband Blake Shelton has some ideas for it.
The 53-year-old “Just a Girl” superstar returned after a two-year break from music with her new single “True Babe” on Friday (June 23).
That same day, her husband and The Voice alum hopped on social media to propose a couple of extra lines that he would like to see on the song. Suffice to say that they likely weren’t anything Gwen had in mind while she was originally working on the track. “Take the truck and cut up this tree, up this tree,” Blake sings while panning his camera to show a massive tree that had, indeed, fallen over and needed cleaning up. “Playing the S-IT out of [Gwen's] new song ‘True Babe,’” He gushed. “Even writing new lyrics!!” While his contribution might not have fit the initial vibe, Gwen was grateful nonetheless. “Greatest rewrite ever!!!
