Blake Lively & Justin Baldoni's Movie 'It Ends With Us' Halts Production

Production for the movie adaption of Colleen Hoover‘s New York Times best-selling book It Ends With Us has been put on pause. Justin Baldoni – who is directing the movie along with starring in it alongside Blake Lively – and production company Wayfarer Studios informed cast and crew members on Thursday (June 15) that production has been halted for the foreseeable future. Keep reading to find out more… In email obtained by Deadline, production was halted due to the ongoing Writer’s Strike and will not resume until there is a resolution. “Due to the ongoing WGA strike and the lost days we have experienced due to picketing, we must make the difficult decision to temporarily shut down production,” Justin and Wayfarer wrote in their email. “We want to express our deepest gratitude for your incredible patience and unwavering dedication throughout this challenging period.” At the time of the decision, less than half of the movie had been completed and production was halted because the co-financing status of Wayfarer was not enough for the WGA to consider the film within WGA guidelines.

It Ends with Us centers on Lily (Lively), who is about to enter college when she meets Ryle (Baldoni) and she falls for him.

As she is developing feelings for Ryle, Atlas (Brandon Sklenar), her first love, reappears and challenges the relationship between Lily and Ryle. Blake and Justin were just seen filming scenes for the movie last week in New Jersey.
