A follow-up series to the 2017 feature Blade Runner 2049 has been greenlit by Amazon Studios executives.The news about the science-fiction program was revealed by Deadline on Thursday.
The site added that the show would be titled Blade Runner 2099.Director Ridley Scott, who helmed the original 1982 Blade Runner feature, will serve as one of the series' executive producers.

The entertainment industry figure added: 'We are honored to be able to present this continuation of the Blade Runner franchise.'Sanders then expressed that the show would remain faithful to the story set out by the two films.
