The BET Awards on Sunday night (June 26) were a celebration of the invaluable work of Black artists everywhere, celebrating the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, and Kendrick Lamar. They also became a platform for those creatives to make their voices heard, as many attendees used the stage to criticize the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 ruling that established a constitutional right to abortion.

Best New Artist trophy at the 2022 BET Awards, Latto gave viewers one of the best performances of Sunday night's ceremony. The 23-year-old began with her new single, «It’s Givin,» dancing on a desk surrounded by dancers in center stage. She smoothly segued into her mega-hit, «Big Energy,» with Young Dirty Bastard joining the rapper to pay homage to his father, the late Ol' Dirty Bastard. Young Dirty Bastard rapped his verse from the «Fantasy» remix, which Latto's track features.  2022 BET Awards: See All of the Star-Studded Performances! ET's Kevin Frazier spoke with filmmaker and producer Will Packer on the 2022 BET Awards red carpet, where Packer confirmed that the highly anticipated  sequel is currently in production and that «it's gonna be better than the first one.» That's a tall order, but Packer is confident in his declaration, adding, «You can’t do  if you’re not gonna top yourself.» When asked where the road trip comedy might take the stars — including Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Tiffany Haddish -- Packer shared that the Flossy Posse will not be returning to New Orleans for their next adventure. «I can't tell you where we're gonna go yet, but we were in New Orleans the first time and we're not going back to New Orleans,» he revealed. «We're going somewhere bigger and better.

Jack Harlow is supporting his friend, Lil Nas X -- following his snub from this year's ceremony — on the 2022 BET Awards! On Sunday, the “First Class” rapper hit the carpet rocking a Lil Nas X T-shirt that he paired with Givenchy shoes and pants. Lil Nas X took to Twitter to react to his friend's fashion statement. «wow i really love this man,» the rapper responded to a tweet featuring a photo of Harlow from the carpet. Harlow and Lil Nas X collaborated together on the hit single, «Industry Baby.» Harlow was nominated for one BET Award this year, and Lil Nas X was nominated for none.
