Video shows the white man using the slur several times while people queue to pay. After being racially abused for about a minute, the black customer eventually hits the white man in the face with a can of Twisted Tea, using enough force to cause it to burst open, and then hurls more punches at him on the floor.
The shocking incident happened inside a Circle K in the US city of Elyria, Ohio, and one video clip posted on Twitter has had more than two million views since Christmas Eve.
