Black Friday shoppers set to spend big online instead of the high street ahead of Christmas

money.co.uk has revealed. Data from the personal finance experts found that 77 per cent of adults in the UK are planning to shop the sales during this year’s Black Friday event on November 27.

The survey also revealed that due to the coronavirus pandemic, an overwhelming majority of shoppers will buy their Black Friday bargains online and steering clear of the high street.

Around 85 per cent said they would either shop exclusively online or a mix of online and in store this year with just 0.3 per cent spending exclusively on the high street.Four in 10 say they will spend £200 - £300 more this year than they did last year, with one in 10 spending £500 more while a further 15 per cent admitted they will probably splash out between £600 -.
