Bizarre car tiramisu TikTok trend goes viral but prompts salmonella and listeria warning from doctors

A viral TikTok showing drivers scooping piles of Tiramisu out of the middle arms rest of their cars has prompted doctors to issue serious warnings of salmonella, listeria and E.Coli.

The unusual hack has left users on the platform astonished, with one commenting, "If someone did this in my car I would cry".

The video has amassed over 245k likes, so to stop others from trying it for themselves health expert at Winit clinic Dr. Shivram Singh has made it clear that eating in your car, especially leaving large amounts of dairy-based desert in the car will cause a proliferation of potentially dangerous bacteria.

In fact, your car can be the perfect breeding ground for salmonella and listeria if food is left around. Dr Singh said: "There are some bacteria, such as Salmonella and Listeria, whose ideal temperature of growth falls in the 4°C -60°C range typically found in a normal enclosed automobile." He continued: "Eating or storing food in a car can often result in spills and crumbs, which may harbour bacteria, mould, or attract pests if not cleaned thoroughly.
