Billie Shepherd shared her son Arthur’s reaction to the news of the Queen’s death. Her Majesty passed away at the age of 96 on Thursday 8 September after 70 years on the throne.
Discussing the moment she told her five year old son, Billie, who is currently pregnant with her third child, described Arthur’s response as “quite sweet”.
Mummy Diaries star Billie, 32, recalled to sister Sam Faiers: “It was quite sweet – when we were sitting here and obviously the news broke, I said ‘Ah [the Queen]’s passed away,’ and Arthur looked at me and said: ‘Oo she’s going to see Nanny Wendy and Grandad Mick in heaven today then.’” Billie went on to tell the youngster that his grandparents would be waiting for the Queen “with a cup of tea and some cakes and scones”.
Mum-of-three Sam also shared the moment she told her eldest children Paul Jr, six, and Rosie, four, of the news of the Queen’s death and described it as “fresh” for them as they’ve been learning a lot about the Royal Family at school.
