Billie Eilish has hit back at online trolls who make derogatory comments about her looks and fashion choices. In the past, the 21-year-old artist openly expressed her struggles with body image, admitting to feeling “unlovable and unsexy”.
While Billie has typically opted for loose-fitting attire, she has recently been embracing more revealing and traditionally "feminine" outfits.
Unfortunately, her evolving fashion sense has made her a target for criticism. Billie has now directly addressed the behaviour of those who engage in negative online criticism, holding nothing back in her response.
On Saturday, the singer posted a selfie along with the caption: “Letter to some comments I be seeing sometimes. I spent the first five years of my career getting absolutely obliterated by you fools for being boyish and dressing how I did and constantly being told I’d be hotter if I acted like a woman, “And now when I feel comfortable enough to wear anything remotely feminine or fitting, I ‘changed’ and am a ‘sell-out’ and ‘what happened to her…it’s not the same Billie, she’s just like the rest’ blah blah blah.
