Of all the millions of words he has uttered in a career spanning five decades, Bill Nighy will forever be associated with one line of dialogue in one particular film.

Never mind that he has starred in almost 150 Hollywood blockbusters, cult films, TV series and plays, or that he is one of Britain’s best-loved actors.
