Bill Gates defends China's coronavirus response but claims US handled outbreak 'poorly'

mirror.co.ukBill Gates has spoken out on China’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, claiming that Beijing ‘did a lot of things right.’ Speaking to CNN over the weekend, Mr Gates defended China’s response, and criticised ‘incorrect and unfair things’ being said about the country.
He said: “China did a lot of things right at the beginning, like any country where a virus first shows up. They can look back and say where they missed some things.” Mr Gates added that the US response to the outbreak was handled poorly.
