2024 has been the unofficial year of huge Hollywood comebacks and some of our favourite TV stars certainly received the memo.
The late nineties and early 2000s had no shortage of movie stars you could expect to see in just about everything. However, as the film industry has expanded, A-listers that we grew up with have started to fade into the background.
Lucky for millennial and Gen Z moviegoers, this year has seen a resurgence of noughties classics. Most notably, Mean Girls had a musical remake with a fresh cast including Renee Rapp.
Unfortunately, viewers did not warm to the film, earning it a sour average of 2.6 stars on Letterboxd. However, the nineties and Y2k stars that returned to the mainstream this year have thrilled fans - and one has revived viewers' childhood crushes all over again.
